ABOUT YSYS

How we started:  Founded by Deborah Okenla, Your Startup, Your Story (YSYS) is a startup community dedicated to connecting diverse people with opportunities in tech. 

 

What we’ve achieved: Our members have found new team members, started new roles, and secured funding simply by being part of the community. 

 

By harnessing the expertise and diverse experiences of our community, we are able to design diversity and inclusion initiatives that have tangible results.

 

Since 2017, we’ve helped over 17, 000 diverse people to advance in tech, and we’re just getting started. 

 

What’s next?: Our mission is to help 100,000+ people to excel in tech by 2023. To reach this goal, we'll be partnering with organisations that are passionate about inclusion, and understand that diversity needs action.
